on topic, if it's an ad on the meebo bar, those have been there since the introduction of the bar. Respected inmates don't see them.

not on the meebo bar persay, really on the entire screen, with a message sayin advertisement

i do see the side of the chat where if u hoover over it long enuff it says expanding tho... but this may have been what i did tho

probably corrupted cache. try clearing it and trying again
