Man you start a pro army thread in a public forum that is viewed by people from all over the world, what did you expect genius? That everyone would go encourage you for your "oh so brave efforts"? If you want sympathy and hugs go talk to your friends and family, internet doesn't care.

Joining the army is either an act of desperation or of pure ignorance.

God forbid anyone be proud of doing what they do and want to share

it with others they feel comfortable with lol. "We all are here for the

same thing and thats to keep everyone safe" i like that, thank you and

well said. Fuck the folk chatting shit to you mate just ignore them, i

care for one and i don't like people putting words in my mouth or

thinking they have the right to speak on my behalf.

If people were as smart as they seem to think they are then they

would direct their dislike in the right direction and if they cared

half as much as they make out then they would do something about it (

and i don't mean post in a thread for a fucking browser game ).

Anyways hats off to you PFC, someone has to be on hand should shit kick off and not everyone has the stomach for it. Stay safe matey

Why plant the flags? and go back two days later?

Why not just pick them up when you find them....

You searched the yard 15 time(s) and found $0! Wtf ? 02/08/2010 2:11pm You were one of the top contractors to take the hit that mizpeg put out on 31642013. You get $299,383!

Gaudo, your first post is filled with so much contradiction and hypocrisy that it should have a big red stamp next to it marking it as "Fail". Since I know how pointless and self centered quoting every line of someone's post looks like, I'll just try and point out one obvious thing.

Have you ever asked a young, freshly enrolled person, why he decided to join the army? Don't expect him to have his own philosophy. Some are honest and tell you it's because it's the highest paying job they could get for their lvl of education. But most will be encouraged by pop culture and various forms of advertisement, robbing them of any critical judgement.

In the US, joining the army could almost be considered glamorous amongst the new generations and (obviously) a heroic act of support for their country by the patriots. The new generations are pushed by cultural ignorance; cliche movies like The Marine 2 and DearJohn, "awesomeness" brought by WWE, old school movies and video games. All of which has false depiction of the reality of war. You don't like people putting words in your mouth but you don't mind your own government manipulating your children to join an organization solely created to preserve the country's own interest. I mean the aristocracies' own interest...

There are people lining up every day in every part of the world volunteering to help the poor countries of Africa. We don't need armies to help Haiti, if only to help keep order for a short while. I couldn't stop myself from laughing when, in the news, I saw on a temporary tent or blanket, the logo of the Royal Caribbean International. This just tells you that even in times of need; rich people who have the means won't help you unless they can, in some way, take advantage of the situation.

But you know, since both sides are clearly revolted by each other, such discussions are only good to better understand and later refute the views and arguments of the opposing party.
