Maybe if you could think past that hitch between your butt cheeks you would understand why some of us don't give hugs to soldiers coming back from wars. If you guys really are as "unidiot" as you claim you are then you could also understand our point of views. Fact: Most of you "pro army patriots" are generally ignorant, intellectually lazy and prefer drinking cheap beer and watch sports rather then getting a clue of what is happening around you. PFC is a fine example of what may happen to you if you choose the path of intellectual laziness. All point and laugh at this modern day caveman.

One of the reasons why we don't sympathize with soldiers is because they make conscious choices. Some of them don't agree with their government, question the current wars, yet still decide to sign the papers stating they'll be prostituting themselves for their government for the next X years and may even die for a cause they may or may not agree with. And worst, some people (I'm pretty sure it's most of the people) signs in for the "prestige" embellished by pop culture and everything else that I mentioned earlier. Then when someone protests against this and points out the obvious "Hey dude... you know you'll be deployed in Afghanistan if you enrol now so... why are you enrolling?", the soldiers are just poor victims *face palms*... If you were living in a dictatorship like in North Korea, then yeah, soldiers would be considered victims because their population have been brainwashed for more then 2 generations and they have no other choices. But you in America, not only are you given choices, you are wilfully ignorant. Instead of protesting when your government makes inhumane decisions, you join the army. Some of these crimes against humanity isn't even conspiracy material and is well known amongst the general population. But hey whatever, it's not the soldier's fault, right? These poor clueless guys were deceived and were just following orders, so let's applause their brave efforts and cry for our losses.

If you know what's happening and you don't agree with your politics and, yet still, you decide to enrol; you're not a victim. If you don't give a shit and decide to enrol, you're certainly not a victim. Whatever the reasons you have when joining the army, if something bad happens and people decides to QQ and disrespect soldiers in general; you're still not a fucking victim. And if you know what's happening, don't agree with your politics and still sympathize with newly enrolled soldiers; you're not helping your country to evolve or move forward and you're just as worst as those giving out orders by encouraging current events... and you make your country fail.

I wouldn't have any problems with militarism if they would focus their efforts on prevention and humanitarian needs. But that's not how they're rolling.

If you feel rage or was offended by what I just wrote, keep in mind that some of us feel just as offended when we read your unthoughtful pro army threads. And your "no one is forcing you to read this" or "your opinion doesn't count if your not American because this is an American thread"... well "Don't post controversial topics on a public forum if you can't stand people not agreeing with you" because this ALWAYS happens.

I directed my commentts to Americans because I dont have the right to tell anyone from another country how to think or feel about the US military.

But I can say that your hatred and dislike for the military blinds you to logical thinking and the fact that not everyone sees things your way.

If everyone in the world was willing to work on prevention and humanitarian needs, then there would be no need for a military.

There's a start to everything. I think you'll agree with me if I say that people with a higher IQ have a greater responsibility upon this world? That it should be natural for them if they used their greater logical ability to solve our world's current existing problems? Same thing should be applied with those holding the greatest military powers. An example can and must be set somewhere.

You  have to admit that just as high IQ doesnt always equate to knowing whats best low IQ doesnt equate to not being able to contribute.

You could take the smartest people in the world and put them to solving the worlds issues and you would still have people that see differently and seek to cause issues. Past examples are the IRA Nazis Yakuza Russian Mob etc. Current day examples are Al Qaeda, Hamas etc.

As long as you have differences in opinions and religions, no matter what the intellectual levels, you are going to have conflict. Its a situation that is as old as time itself and one that has lead to some of the greatest inventions in human history..both good and bad.

actually that isnt true... it is required now to have an education to even get a possible chance in the military... without an education your chances are very very slim

the new military standards are... A. you must have a high school diploma... B. must score a 50% on the ASFAB which is college level... C. to make E-5 you got to have a degree from college.... so if you think that all people in the military are stupid think again. its a guaranteed pay check, college is paid for for both me and my kids, free health care dental and eye ins. space A flight, grants, discounts, help with anything you need. soooooooooooo.................
