i think that when people are signing up it should say, do not sign up under the same ip address, this includes signing up under multiple DIFFERENT computers under the same network, for example school, college, uni, library, work and home network computers.

Mufasashould it? If you are logging on from the same location as someone, that's a dupe, explaining what an IP address is wouldn't change that. In fact it might just make people try to find ways around it

liquid thats tuff tho as everyone knows myself and about 4 others are all playing the game in our dealership. we are all genuine accounts, whats wrong with that

The difference is derrda, I would think that you guys dont only play at work. So im sure that if activity is checked, there are different IPs for you 4 when youre not at work, as well as activity at the same time.
With dupes that generally isnt the case. In fact its pretty obvious when you see one go inactive and the other become active.

liquidc...my suggestion would only help the people who are genuine and who read the warning obviously, but i think it would help personally. was going to put it on the wiki but not alot of people, especially new players read it

ive been duped with a few of my m8's from loggin on at their pc's, it sux but i would rather that than having to cope with lots of players making dupe accounts.
I know Mufasa is a busy man and he probably wouldnt have the time to do what im gona suggest but ill fire it out anyway.
When accounts get marked as dupes an admin should moniter the accounts to see: whats being sent between them, the actions concering the 2 accounts and the chat between the accounts ect. Then using this info the admin could make the decision on weather or not he thinks its a dupe, in which case the accounts are banned or multiple real players in which case the restrictions are lifted.
