I'm sure many of you have probably heard by now that this dude has 'released secrets' about the US government but what i want to know is what do you think hes done?

I personally think the guys a saint, he confirmed to the public what most had suspicions about, that our governments are using a system where they can monitor EVERYTHING we do, be that on the internet (so no more searching for gay porn c1) or on the phone, and that no matter who you are, the intelligence agencies can monitor us and keep us on reford for years and years to come

"It is the responsibility of the patriot to protect his country from its government. "

-- Thomas Paine

^^i think that about sums it up

but it can shift to traitor if it turns out he knows other info that he shares with a forign government

Give them an inch they'll take a yard. No surprise, but i'm glad the info came out. J. Edgar Hoover was able to get lots of info as well, albeit on a much smaller scale then this, and used it to blackmail every president that served while he was the head of the fbi to get what he wanted. It's hard to know what kind of checks and balances this program has when everything is decided behind closed doors in secret courts, just seems way too shady to me.
