i have heard in the past you could be iso'd or banned for using a public wi-fi sevice,anyone know of any risks or pitfalls associated w/ public wi-fi whether thru playing on smartphone or laptop??..i got a new phone and new to this wi-fi stuff

im playing on wifi and im still here.. ive been playin since my 7th month here in pb over wifi. so mayb noot if you are playing at your house. but at a public place i think i read somewhere you can become a dupe of someone random. but if you do not log iin on the same ip address for sometime then it will just come off

u risk someone else looking over your shoulder and liking the game... then that person decides to join from the same location... then u might have an issue....

but if you do not use that wifi location or whatever for lets say 8 months,, doesnt the dupe thing come off?

Basically mate. If u use a puble wi-fi u get duped with the other users that use the same wifi server for instance a libary then whoever used that u would be duped with them. That's duped for 12 days I I remember mu saying but if u both logged on the same phone u would be permanent dupes.

I play on my phone at times....I guess only downfall is you end up marked as dupe with someppl that have used same service. I used to mug phelon215 all the time for XP then got my phone and couldn't anymore as we were dupes after that. But I never been isod for it. The site did block me from using my phone for few months said it was trying to access via proxy but I can get on here now with phone again

yeah dats why i dont use my fone much for pbing

I use my neighbors wifi when at home not all the time just when not in the living room

I'm always been playin on my phone or wifi at school or work...u may get marked as a dupe if u share the same service or wifi but as long as u don't sign in from a computer that someone else used then it will be reset after a certain amount of time or when mu does his thing....its explained in the wiki pretty good

Yeah be careful with that shit lol i got banned for a few weeks about a year ago for logging on through a work pc, depends on what kind of network it is really
