Basically im suggesting we introduce some shoutbox admins as the staff aren't on all the time and can't monitor what goes on there all the time

For examle, they could have the power to delete shouts if some spammer comes in advertising another game, or even just block someone from posting in the shoutbox for a period of time? and if needed then a banned or someone with a deleted shout can appeal to the staff through contaact and if staff thinks that the ban or delete was wrong then they can punish the admin

They should help new players, point them in the right direction, stop all the dupe-calling of any new player who comes in to the shoutbox saying hi and make it a much more noob friendly place

opinions on this? good/bad? 

i think this is a good idea, but lots of people would abuse the privilege staff should have a log of who's kicked and for the reason why then perhaps it would be a good thing but if u get people who get kicked for stupid reasons like cursing or arguments or just because the person is talking shit to the admin that's power abuse...guideline should be set very high and kept if that's how it would go i would be fine with that but the moment someone abuses the power then they should loose the admin privilege .

I think the block button is good enough, if someone annoys you you just block them and refresh the shoutbox... besides most of the times its just players vs players talking shit - spammers with links in shoutbox isnt that common i believe.

not to mention a shoutbox admin could abuse their powers, meaning more work for the staff to do to make sure theyre behaving properly and all that

I think it's good but a block button works wonders so I don't think it is necessary.

But all the accusations in the shoutbox just get tiresome to read, admins could tell people not to accuse in shoutbox and if they constantly do it delete the accusational shout?

And i understand with the power abuse but there wont be many logs of bans or deleted shouts unless your ivy and craving for attention

ogpeak, ivy, and albino would be a good ones, if its something that offends them or they wouldn't/haven't said then its gotta be bad and the person deserves to be banned from the shoutbox

but i dont think its really needed, use the block button

ogpeak and ivy are 90% of the problem, those two always jump in and cause problems...i got them both blocked sucks cause i never could have a decent convo in sb because of the constant trolling ivy would do or the bitching ogpeak would do...then og just puts hits on me cause i tell him to relax in the sb
