JPISTOLINOyo son nice work looks like good framing going on there....didnt know you was a carpenter........... i flip houses maybe i post some pics of our work............
until last month J i wasnt, i am hired labour but at this point i hav gone from sliding done things and driving back and forth and cleaning up to working sum days alone
JPISTOLINOactually that is awesome bro.....i only been in construction for about two years but my father been in it for bout 30 so he teaching me all he know............. it has been a blessing to have someone with his experience around to teach... my company got four employees other than my pop and i....and the crazy thing about it is he just got sentenced to 18 months in prison so today i will have completed my first solo house remodel.. solo meaning i lead the whole job when usually its my pop that make sure everything go like it posed to..... it only took a month and 1 week of it i was waiting for my windows to get delivered...lol.... i try post some pics later after work...........today is final day of punchlist........... i am proud of myself............lol
well with all he taught u, u should beable to do it just like all the other houses, and aslong as ppl cant do it themselfs we stay in business
JPISTOLINOya it was different him not being around to ask questions when i was stumped about something... but it all has worked out rather nicely.......... your exactly right on ya second statement.........it is self gratifying to create something from nothing.........
ya i remember my last semester of high school, 2 woods shop classes and 1 teachers aid in the wood shop for minor niners, those were the good days, could build a table and just had to pay for the material, didnt hav to go to the store buy a table for 3 times the price, now very close, taking the material and turning sumthing out of it, just minus the all the nice machines in a wood shop, kind of hard to find a full size table saw that fits in the back of the truck, the mini fits but it can be a paint with a 16 foot piece of cidar, and in 18 months he will be back over ur shoulder
JPISTOLINOya i seen the mini................ i got a nice portable ryobi bts21 or btss1 . it got a stand attached and when it brakes down it has wheels to push it around.....it is very convienient........wouldnt trade it for anything...........google it..............took a shop class in high school but never really had the itch for it and worked a lil construction when i first got out high school but that didnt last long cause i was ready to party and live life at that point.........took a carpentry class in the local community college started building nice custom decks wit a good friend of mine which taught me alot and then decided to start my own company wit my father as head carpenter.............my pop and all my uncles been in construction all there lives.. so i thought it was only fitting to open up a business like that.......
