Howie he needs the authority because he is harassing the kid, disturbing the peace, and you can even say he was stalking. He was armed and his intent was to not let "them get away with it". He can't be armed watching them neighborhood, its against the law...so he was and his intent was none from the 911 tapes. You wouldn't take condoms to your gilrfriends house if you didn't plan on having sex right? He carried the gun, call 911, disregarded their instructions(covering his own ass), chased him, and pulled a gun...(even if it was a fist fight)...he was WRONG!

he would never be convicted for murder 1 so no death penalty...my view on this is that he should get manslaughter at least and i dont think it was a hate crime like alot of people are saying

but i hate how the media and everyone had to get their opinions out there and didnt let the legal system work...what happened to being innocent to proven guilty

i dont believe n innocent b4 guilty helll i never heard a black man being assumed innocent in cases like this

This is a very sad case of how some ppl are just plain stupid. wtf is a neighborhood watch man doing with a gun... its sad that a kid lost his life because a adult was unable to see past colors plain and simple

some ppl just take things way to far and this is how we end up with dead children. As far as the gun neighborhood watches should not b allowed to carry them. just my opinion. Maybe something that is less harmful as in rubber bullets.

Or require all home burglars to only have rubber bullet shooting guns on their possesion when breaking into homes.

what happens if there was someone breaking into a house who had a gun? the people in the neighborhood watch would shoot their rubber bullets and get hit with a few real ones?

i think it should be a law that every man and women should carry a gun at all times...not some people able to and others not...have everyone on a level playing field at all times

and this is the point were tons of ppl die for stupid reasons
