Dude phone calls have little or no effect on the navigation of an aeroplane. They have no effect at all on controls as the plane controls are servo operated hydraulic systems. The reason they don't allow calls is a preventative measure... JUST in case. In fact some flights are now allowing mobile phone calls to be made on newer planes.

As for the pentagon... yes of course... they are going to display all the wreckage and bodies of something that happened at an ultra high security government build!
