Well global warming will wipe out whole ecosystems (eg coral reefs which support the vast majority of marine species would die out due to coral bleaching) for example.

Sharks being wiped out would also ruin many marine ecosystems too... often if one part of the chain fails the whole thing comes down.

Oh I thought you meant it would go off topic so was reposting the main aim But I like that people are talking about the environment. Cheers for checking out the link.

na nyc is taxed and pays for the rest of the state, its all about aggolmeration, economies of scale and utility, they actually pay more in taxes than the rest of the state and they opereate in such a high density area that causes all their public goods to be efficient while the less dense areas all need to pay for their own public goods such police, fire stations, hospitales etc which are far less cost efficient so we benefit from them paying taxes (2/3 rule)....but nys is taxed at one of the highest rates and the money that goes to the federal government goes to other stats such as florida that dont pay state taxes and other states that would not survive if it wasnt for the federal government

i feel ya now howie neva thought bout it like that but welfare recipients have to be 5 x higher in nyc then upstate
