Bodyguards
what if there was a button..on our profile after the for sale button that was for bodyguard status..ill use ashz in this instance
he clicks my button..i get an event..to either accept or deny being his body guard
i accept..with a time frame of how long the protection will last
once i am the bodyguard..if and only when I am online(ashz on/offline status doesnt matter), if someone attacks ashz..they will be redirected to me in the battle
if they beat me..then the attacker will have to refill their own stamina and attack ashz again..but i will not be able to help, even if i buyout before they attack ashz again, because of the 10 min limit..which i think should stay in place
raiding and mugging would not be changed..they cant be completely protected..im not sure how hard this would be to implement..but im sure many people would use it including gangs
just an idea... thoughts?
It is a thumbs up from me... i like the idea... it would be such a surprise... D:

DemOlitionhonestly that sounds like alot of fun.. wouldnt mind seeing that feature in the game at all.. should be some kind of limit though, maybe 1-3 hours per day maximum or things like hits will be useless(?)

probably the only decent suggestion ive read in months.
+1 on this
good idea and a nice touch to the game good think nick
If I could make some suggestions. If this feature was implemented I think it would cause a lot of homoerotic tenancies, lower levels trying to befriend higher levels, etc. So a reduction in the effectiveness I think would be a good option, for example, if you're a bodyguard and your stamina is down, you may not be able to intercept and attack. Interceptions should not be 100% all of the time, it should be dynamic, or a hit n miss type of thing. A person intent on protecting someone (a good bodyguard) should be out of ISO and the INFIRM (0% chance of interception) with high stamina (so he can win the fight AND it should make the chance of him intercepting the attack higher) and I think a host of other factors should play a role to make it more dynamic and so one can distinguish between a good bodyguard and a bad bodyguard.
There's also the problem of what if your bodyguard has a bodyguard himself, creating an ENDLESS relay of attacks, so if you choose to protect someone if you were protected previously your protection should drop automatically. I also think if you win against the bodyguard it should auto-infirm the protected one for the same amount of time that you would be infirmed if you attacked someone and lost.
So I think it should be done in a way where a bodyguard has to play an active role so people can't just set someone as their bodyguard and never have to worry.

Deal with it.
Good idea.. I think however it should be the bodyguard that has to initiate the bodyguard event instead of the protectee requesting around until someone accepts. Should also only be able to guard one person I guess..
mmmmmm.sp3ktacularI like it, and Jay's refinements even more. I'm heading to the gym now (the real one)... so talk amongst yourselves
yeah and i think the protector has to be atleast 1 level above the person who he is protecting or something
and i like this idea +1

I think that bodyguards and the person being guarded has to be off the same prison as well, that would balance out and eradicate situations where a level 6 sniper is being protected by a level 27.
