Which religion do you speak? You seem to be generalizing. And I'm well versed in many scriptures but never heard the center of the universe theory to which you speak. Most modern existing religions concur with most scientific theories. So unless you bring forth scripture and say how it's disproven your post is moot.

I assume this thread is about Christianity, as that's what most of the threads like this are about. I spoke only about the earth one because of the Christian churches actions against Nicolaus Copernicus, Johannes Kepler and Galileo Galilei. As far as reading scripture I must admit that I've a bit lax in that area.

And you really mean to say that it is out of the realm of "possibility" that God didn't have that in store? I mean if even a fictional god can create anything they wanted, you mean to tell me it would be out of that entities grasp to come up with the "Big Bang" or even "Evolution"?

Whenever this topic is brought up atheists and the sort will bring up the sort of stereotypes about religion, like if you believe in God you don't or CANT believe in the big bang, evolution, you don't believe the earth is billions of years old, and you think everything is mystical and magical.

Everyone got their own belief system but trust me on the whole this is not even remotely true. This is a shallow view of religion and if you have this view, you're really not as deep as you think you are... sorry.

@ slickster- i dont believe it happened by magic, i dont have half a frickin clue how it came to be. magic just happens to be one of the weirdest options there could be, nearly on par with an infinite being with no beginning or end

also, i dont truly know what i believe so i cant really answer that truthfully as i dont know the answer inside myself
