Join our gang well help................................................................
well we have talked about them noobs long enuf here is some thing to take our minds of it A quick lesson how the Hangi process is put together is as follows, this method taught to generations of would be hangi makers throughout the Pacific region. The process is the same BUT the ingredients used....now that's where each region in the Pacific differs especially for Maori.
Foods are prepared in three sections, meats (pork, beef, lamb, shell fish, fish) - vegetables and puddings (yes that's right everything goes in together)
Stones are heated to the white hot stage
Use only untreated wood. Manuka is favored most in New Zealand amongst Maori
Food is placed on top meats first (after which the entire Hangi is watered slightly to cause steam to form)
The food is then covered with flax matting or leaves or both then buried under dirt
The food is steam cooked under pressure from the leaves and soil
The Hangi must cook or simmer for at least three hours (standard time frame in New Zealand)
Food is removed from oven and served

31642013Here's how to make Poutine:
cut some fresh potatoes and fry em in oil.
buy REAL poutine sauce, not any kind of gravy. St-Hubert's is good.
Find can opener that works, and go survivorman on the fuckin can. Bring to a gentle boil in a saucepan.
Throw some fries in a bowl. Add some cheese in the middle!
Generously pour some sauce over the fries.
Enjoy!
