Originally posted by liquidchaos to be honest if the dvds werent limited like that i would probably still be playing. it pisses me off cos im a different time zone and i work so i never get the chance to get them. then i have to pay shitloads to get them. i understand the concept but its not collectors getting them. its people buying them at 5 favors each so they can sell them for millions. 'hoarders' i say make them unlimited but only gor a couple of minutes and each week change the announced time. one week have it 5pm and 5am, then 12pm and 12am. that way everyone has an equal chance. i played prisonblock because it was a good casual game but in my eyes with these dvds, it is no longer casual

Ok, now we have some intelligent convo. Again, the DVDs aren't released to encourage hoarding, price-gouging and animosity between players. And the game is US-based, so I'm sleeping when many of you are active, which is why I try to release shit throughout the day hoping to hit as many people as poss.

Originally posted by sbuilder So reading through this the suggestions Ive made and heard are as follows:

1)not making the dvds so rare to lower inflation and give casual players a chance to keep up

That's a possibility, though we'd probably stop with how often they come out and how good (some) of them are.

Originally posted by sbuilder 2)maybe raising the bank account limit to bring game currency back into game play

That's more a two-fold issue... as you level up, there's just simply more ways to get money and less to spend money on (remember the days trying to afford a shitty weapon?). We're working on that too though, and those solutions will also give you more to do than simply collect amenities.

Originally posted by sbuilder 3)lowering the price of nrg drinks in jersey to create a use for runners once again

Negative. You said yourself money needs value, well by lowering things to a ridiculous point, we're just further devaluing money which is at odds with what I said above and your own observations...

We'll evaluate the DVD situation though. I've already got ideas on how to switch that up.

Originally posted by sbuilder I dont usually sport my opinions in too many forums. So maybe thiswill hold some depth with Mufasa, and maybe taken into considerationfor the long awaited Louisianna .1st off Id like to say Ive enjoyedplaying this game. Ive enjoyed watching it grow and while I haventagreed with all the changes I will say that they have made this gamebetter and therefore more fun to play.   However the limited number ofDvds coming out each week make it so that people that casually playthis game (2-3hrs per day)  cannot keep up.  The inflation this causesis too dramatic and causes auctions for everything instead of peopleusing the marketplace for what it is for. I understand the necessity ofhaving some "rare amenities" but this system makes game currency justabout useless. Everything nowadays is bought and sold in Nrg drinks.       Which brings me to my next subject...raising the price on nrg drinks inJersey destroyed the whole concept of having lower level runners ingangs. When I first got to AZ it was important for me to haverelationships with lower level players because they had something tooffer. now they have nothing.       Finally do you believe itsa coincidence that quite a few long time players are leaving? I dontbelieve its the prospect of recieving 70$ per console thats making these players retire. I think It something more and should be looked at.        Thanks for listening,Sbuilder

Only problem i see is that all people want to have ALL! And dont realise that isnt important.

You are good example,as i remember you while leveling up,without consoles, playboys, toilets you become strongest. And i'm pretty sure in that becouse i was 1st before that lmao

Becouse one wii, xbox or ps3(about at least 100M game cash now) cant give you stats like if you use all that on training...

Prices in ARZ never changed. So instead of spending 50 or more milions on 'rare amenity' all can buy eds/water and train.

I can bet that person who play like that always will have advantage then others who looking for rare stuff

*Edit* Just training is pretty boring

I think we should reduce how good some of the dvds are. When we first had Date Night and Clash of the Titans everyone bought them for comedic value not for there stats. The first 3 dvds lasted almost a week comparing that to the 30 seconds they last now proves that the dvds have gone up so much in price because of the high chance the dvd will be a great stat booster. I know that there is 0 chance anyone has time to look at the dvd they are buying now because of how fast they are going.

Solution- Throw in a crappy dvd randomly . The hoarders will buy as many as possible to try to sell at a high price. When they realize the purchased dvds are crap and only give +1 energy or whatever they will have lost out hopefully teaching them a small lesson.

Solution-Make dvds come out random days. Therefore hoarding dvds every week becomes almost impossible.
