The obvious decision here is to kill the one person, you save more lives that way. A trickier question would be, "You're on a run away trolley, it's hurtling towards a group of 5 complete strangers but you can turn the trolley onto another track to save them at the last second, the only catch is that your best friend is at the end of that track. What do you do?"

Trolleys are pretty big but they're slow, I suppose if it was on a steep hill it could be possible.
