I didn't watch the video but I think the point of the question is basically kill many people based on a situation that you did not create; or kill just one based on a conscious decision you made (your direct action killed one person as opposed to an unfortunate event out of your hands killing more) Since that's how I'd view it, I don't think many would have it in them to directly kill someone even though the most logical approach is to save as much human life as possible
I think killing just the one would be best for society in general on a statistical sense, but killing all would be worse, but morality wise you might be able to live with yourself more.
