Safe Trade
I think I should bring this up becasue its gone far enough...
-Scammers are still getting away with things and theres no way to stop them if you want to "trade"
Heres my sugestion...
-A real time trading system. Not just sending money and sending items.... a system that you can see what the person is offering and how much your offering.... them both players have to lock what they are trading... if the other person takes what hes offering off the screen or changes it BOTH players automaticly unlock their choice...
Please PLEASE look into this neato idea.
(P.S. I searched the thread and I am the first to mention it
)
(P.S.S. davebrad mentioned an auction room.. thats a great idea... people could maybe rent private auction rooms that would also be good....)

it's good idea but thats what open markets for maybe a auction room could be implemented for luxury items and job lots just state your min price and wait
yeah but people dont like open market... I personally dont do personal (lol) trades in the market since its unsafe... some one can grab it.... if itsitem for item its even more unsafe...
didn't search hard enough

No one wanted it, so it was axed
darn it... I think people might have a different opinion after the recent "scams"
P.S. I searched the word "Trade" in the box... didnt come up
I think the reason the first idea was shot down is becasue Mufasa (sorry bout this) put huge cost locks on the trading process... maybe the community would like it if the cost for using safe trade would be 10-20% instead of say... 50%? or as davebrad sugested to be a second ago... a flat tag based on the money...
I think it is a cool idea...

This is exactly what Diablo 2 uses as a trading system. It works well. If somebody removes and item from the trading area the accept button is locked out for about 5 sec so no mistakes will be made.
i have not played diablo 2 in so long, now i'm tempted to play but i'm at work
