hokiefannah man not even cool, he was sick and background check should have caught that given he already had been through court system for his problems. and the walther p22 is a semi-automatic handgun, not an assault rifle. i think we need to upgrade what we do for background checks, but i don't think it should put the weight on the shoulders of doctors to decide who is capable of owning a gun and who is not.

hokiefanno Nick they want you to believe that assault rifles are at the root of all shootings. so we ban assault rifles and when the shootings continue, the next logical step is to start confiscating smaller weapons since those still get used. all the good citizens give up their guns and the shootings still occur. then what? liberalism is a mental disorder.
hokiefandifference between including a doctors findings and instructing doctors to pick and choose who can and cant own a gun. since they would be apt to get sued if they don't report someone who committed a crime, they are going to err on the side of caution and report folks who are borderline or close to the line and not allow them to have guns. hurts the good citizens.
nickroxi dont mind better background checks..hell even a month waiting period..track bullets..i dont care..but the otherside has got to realize that banning assault weapons isnt going to do jack shit
