Ok Ive had about enough of this stupidness.

The word Nigger or any derivation of it was originally meant as an insult to black slaves by their masters.

Someone in their immense wisdom decided to " take the sting out" of the word by using it to describe friends fellow gang members etc.

Young black males have taken to it and now use it as a sign of respect in most cases.

The problem I have with the word is this. If it was only EVER used as a sign of respect it MIGHT be ok. But it is still used to describe black people in general by racist as a derogatory term.

Using that word IMO is disrespectful to the people in the past that fought to end segregation racisim and prejudice.

Its disrespectful to people that have slaves in their history and have heard of the pain and suffering caused during that time period.

There is no need to use it. Not to say it write it change the spelling of it anything.

People that use it are only reinforcing the sterotype of ignorant black people, young or old.

They sit back and laugh at us because we use a word that no matter how you use it started out as an insult and continues to be an insult. Just because you think you are giving respect, you are actually being disrespectful.

Legalised slavery may be gone and over but people who freely use the N-word are still bound by chains and are being held down by their own ignorance in essence they are still being inslaved... but this time it is of their own choosing

You, my friend are a sheep. You follow others without any regard for the truth or others that came before you. Crimes are commited in the 1000's everyday does that make it right? Just because people use the N- word doesnt make it right. If you took the time to study your history and maybe even something other than rap music you would realise that there is a movement to ban the word.

Im proud of being black. I listen to rap and hip hop but I dont let it define who I am.

If you tried half the stuff rappers say to get rich, youd end up in jail and alone because most of it is illegal and any real woman wouldnt tolerate being talked to or treated that way..

Most rappers say it because it does make money.  That doesnt make it right. Most will even tell you that they dont believe the things they say..its just an act to get paid. There are some exceptions to that but not many.
