Those of us still living in the real world do sometimes assume that if a person holds the title "Queen of [various Commonwealth countries]" and is the formal head of the government of the former premier world empire, now the little brother of the new premier empire - we assume that such a person wields power - and even if she doesn't, the very concept of monarchy does remain repugnant.

Yeah... If the British queen - or at least the institution of the British throne - wasn't powerful, then we wouldn't have hack jobs like the article above or like the abysmal 2011 Oscar winning film.

I am not a fan of the british monarchy (I am not English) and I don't care whether they have a German background or not.. I just hate these guys (like Michael Moore and now this guy Alex Jones) that only can see things from one side... their side...

The Wedding tomorrow will cost the English tax payers many millions of dollars and for sure it is a big media stunt (that I also do not like... and def will not follow on tv).... but the commercial value of this media stunt will bring back the English tax payers money many many times to the English people...

... and comparing the English monarchy with all other monarchy's is in many ways just stupid....
