Prosecutors should have waited until more evidence was produced. Murder charges can be brought whenever in the US as there is no statute of limitations. They have all kinds of time to get a proper investigation conducted and not one based on circumstantial evidence. Basically, she can walk out of the courtroom right now and admit to doing it and there isn't a damn thing they can do about it. They should have simply built a stronger case -

The whole criminalistics team will be having a hard review of their policy and a stiff training after throwing this trial away and letting a murderer walk... But at least she served 3 years already for " false info to LEO's" not a good thing for anyone sad that no justice will be properly dealth
