They are doing governments too. Eg CIA and threats to publish personal data of every British resident

well maybe but i know anonymous is a group with people all over the world its not like its one specified group hackin from one location they from all over the world and have other computers root hacked from all over the world to do there biding so it makes it a little hard to pinpoint a exact location or who it is

My argument to that is that if we brought wikileaks down we can do the same here. I just sure hope it nevers gets too serious on the hackers behalf. Cyber terror is a major threat to everyone worldwide not just the US and UK.

It's actually easy to pin point what region its from. Recent one was found to be from a small town in china

Nah even the hackers know that the rough area it came from can be determined. But the thing is they don't care as China isn't going to arrest them for hacking the CIA for example

I believe that all the big countries (USA, China, Russia and others) already have "cyber units" (or whatever they should be called) that can do (and already do) different kinds of "cyber attacks" (hacking etc.) on other countries and on other counties key corporations / companies... In some countries, for example Russia, even the "mafia" have "cyber units" that "attacks" key corporations / companies etc. around the world to gain access to different kinds of information about the these and use/sell that information to make shit loads of money (could be information regarding stocks, future trades, prices, strategic plans, new products etc. ... )...

These units (country level and cyber crime levels) all do some kind of hacking (on different levels ... country level and cyber crime levels) but their attacks we will never hear much about.... These are the real serious "hackers" and damn good at it...

I am saying that Anonymous, LulzSec and other similar groups are not good at hacking... They must be pretty good if they can hack into FBI, PBS, etc... but their way of working is different than the units mentioned above... first of all because Anonymous, LulzSec etc. are not "Anonymous" (they tell us about their successes....)....
