To everyone saying 'if one of them people in the Batman shootings had an assault rifle they could have stopped it' surely the gunmen would have just shot him first? and if everyones walking around with AK47's to go to the local shop and back isnt that making everyone feel LESS safe? If I was walking around in america and everyone and his dog had m16's incase one mentally 'unstable'kid thought a bunny would look better red then I wouldnt feel safe at all :L

To everyone saying it makes the innocent more vunerable... In the US I read somewhere there is about 11000 shootings a year, in the UK with no guns legally (we still have people importing them, getting them illegally) there are about 60 shootings a year

Only with a certain license and they need to be securely locked up and away from the house incase of a burglary, and the po po get them, other than that.. not legally

They're both made for the sole purpose to kill and classed as an armament

nobody here is trying to argue all citizens should have nuclear bombs. they can take out whole cities.

personally I dont see what banning assault weapons will do.
