TREYVON MARTIN TRIAL
JimmyTh...A lot of what ifs there... the dude was fat and sloppy... the kid was 6'3 180-185lbs - a football player. i highly doubt he couldn't move zimmerman out of his way or just ran. have u ever tried to watch a fat out of shape person run against a high school football player? cmon... common sense. the witness closest to the scene said kid was on top of him pummeling him. it was at least for a minute - u ever been in a fight and been on the floor for a minute? that shit feels like an eternity... he screamed for help first, no one came - plan b, pulled his gun and fired. If your way of looking at it was true - once he broke zimmerman's nose and had him down on the ground he coulda just left him there and bounced, but he kept hitting him as this man is screaming for help. so what then? like i said it's a 2 way street. you can't have it both ways.
jhate-once again, ya'll acting like u saw the shit happen...how do u know that trayvon just up & startd beating on Zimmerman? mayb he did I wasn't there...but u could also argue the fact that Zimmerman grabd trayvon bcuz he didn't stop when he told him 2, or mayb he got inbetween trayvon & his house & trayvon tryd 2 push pass'd him & Zimmerman impede'd his progress & a 17yr old kid felt threatened & defend'd himself against a dude that had him out weight'd by over 100 lbs.
no one was there though..you cant convict him of murder based on assumptions...there werent facts that show zimmerman attack him either...infact zimmerman was one of those annoying people that call the cops on everything and didnt take shit into his own hands..he woulda called on and followed an old lady if he didnt recognize her...a tragedy yes both sides at fault but not 2nd degree murder
J, I dont think these boys came up like we did, IM OUT!

"The judge isn't there to say what is right and what is wrong, the judge is there to sort the evidence and determine who has the better case. The justice system was founded on laws, not ethics."
its a hobble situation with a young life lost
there was profiling on both sides, Zimmerman followed him an altercation occurred, there is no law against someone following someone, and only Zimmerman knows who acted first for the physical conflict that took place, the prosecutions witness said that Treyvon was on top of him and Zimmerman claimed he shot him in self defense
the prosecution did a horrible job in the trial even though i dont think charges should have even been filed cause there was barely any hard evidence to convict him
all the defense had to do is prove reasonable doubt in the mind of the jurors for Zimmerman to be acquitted

What does him being on the neighborhood watch have to do with him having a gun?
Quite a few people have guns, and don't belong to any military or police force.
if your part of a "watch", whats the gun for? your supposed to be the one watching and if you see something suspicious...call the popo...
Jesus Christ, once again, what does him having a gun have to do with him being on the neighborhood watch?
He has a gun.
He's on the neighborhood watch.
I have a gun.
I'm not on any neighborhood watch, nor am I a police officer.
he took the law in his own hands. if you see something suspicious, are you gonna confront somebody cause you have a gun? i bet if he didnt have a gun he wouldve stayed inside and called 911 while looking out his window
I bet if the police didn't have guns they would stay inside and call the army while looking out their windows.
that makes no sense what so ever
try again
If you don't see how:
i bet if he didnt have a gun he wouldve stayed inside and called 911 while looking out his window
and
I bet if the police didn't have guns they would stay inside and call the army while looking out their windows
are related, then you have a serious issue. It's about delegating responsibility to another party because you're afraid of repercussions.
police wouldnt be police without a gun and badge so that sounds dumb as hell
Ok, excellent job addressing my analogy rather than the point that I made directly following it.
my piont is that we are all police if some suspect shit goes on outside our house...but guess what...we stay inside and call the authorites!!!
So your point is that if something out of the ordinary happens you should avoid confrontation and instead contact the police?
Why didn't Trayvon do that? It might not be the perfect comparison, but your ideology contradicts SimpleMans' to a large degree.
well i can't wait to see the intelligent response to this
yes you should. thats why theres 911!!!!!! why would a grown man confront a "suspicious" person??? i know for a fact if it was 3 black guys and zimmerman never had a gun, he wouldve stayed his ass in the house and called 911. period.
I believe you misquoted, MsHoney.
JimmyTh...brooklyn,ny born and raised. i just took myself out of that lifestyle when i joined the military. learned discipline and self control. i dont wat color you are. if u nice to me, im nice to u, otherwise i mind my fuckin business. In this case i have my opinion, just because i dont agree with you doesn't make me a racist. It means i have an opinion that conflicts with yours. you can accept it like an adult or u can be a lil bitch.
So it's ok to beat a man for being suspicious of you?
Why use a Gun?If you cant handle yourself, stay the fuck on the porch!
wit a bag of skittles and a ice tea fuck outta here
He used a gun because he was being attacked. Just because someone is stronger than you doesn't mean they have the right to assault you. You could say that he brought a gun to a fist fight, but you shouldn't say he brought a gun to ANY fight because there's no proof that he intended to get into a fight with the boy at all.
You stupid ass nigga, he followed him, talkin shit how They always get away with shit, thats lookin for trouble!Go read Super Man,or some shit, fuck outa here younging.
Trayvon reacted instinctively, and so did Zimmerman. He drew his gun because he was being attacked. If you've really been in an uneven fight before you would understand how your brain will do crazy shit to protect itself.
so why did he even approach him at all??? answer that first....
Because there was a string of burglaries and he thought Trayvon looked suspicious.
with a bag of skittles and a ice tea ? da fuck outta here
