i agree, it not only insults the intelligence of the person saying it but also the person(s) who hear the word,  an insult is an insult no matter what degrading word you use. i also totally agree with what dave said.

awww shit, here we go again lol.. although I do give everyone on here respect for expressin there own personal opinion it is either ignorance, misunderstanding, or  ignoring the truth on some individuals' behalf when attackin BlackDmod's statements.. I agree with many of you to some degree, but unless you are a person racially categorized as Black (which is a socially contructed category that holds no concrete genetic evidence, its all abstract for those who don't know)  and haved lived in the Deep South of the U.S. for more than 10 consecutive years then trust me when I say u can't even fathom the true meaning of modern day personal & institutionalized racism & prejudice.. true indeed many of you may personally identify with the African American race or use that cliche line " I have a friend who is black" but don't sit here and say u find any use of the word NIGGA personally offensive because u truly have no justified reason to unless it is directly used in a disrespectful manner by another to cause psychological harm.. Yes it is indeed a double standard for someone categorized as White to use it, but I will go ahead and say that mainly because some black folks are ignorant as to knowin when to be offended by the use.. Yes, much of our race is over-vigilant to racism but its a inherited defense mechanism that may take centuries to cease. I personally have been around people identified as Red Necks who have slipped up and used the word "nigger" in my presence and abruptly apologized but what I say to that is "Don't worry bout it, as long as its not in a disrespectful context then I won't have to fuck you up".. So to sum it all up, the word itself isn't at all offensive unless it carries a intentional or underlying negative context behind the use of it.. There is a campaign to ban the use of the word but the truth is that u can never ban a word, u can place restrictions on the use within media outlets though.. And that shit would suck anyways cus many Black and White people alike enjoy a funny ass show called The Boondocks
